Monica Barbaro wasted no time when she was cast as Joan Baez opposite Timothée Chalamet as Bob Dylan in the acclaimed biopic, A Complete Unknown. Well, maybe she wasted a little bit: “I celebrated for about five minutes when I found out I was cast, and then I immediately took my sister’s guitar,” said Barbaro in a recent interview with MovieWeb. The actor immediately knew that the challenge of becoming, and performing, as one of the ’60s most iconic and beautiful voices was daunting. But she was up for A Complete Unknown, even if, as she told MovieWeb, “I was not a musician of any kind.” Barbaro explained:
