Amazon’s new fantasy series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has caused a rift in fans. Since the cast reveal, various critics have called out against the idea of elves, dwarves, and even men of Middle Earth being portrayed by actors of color. The rift has since caught the attention of Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Billy Boyd, and Dominic Monaghan; though Tolkien fans will recognize them as Frodo, Sam, Pippin and Merry.
