One of the greatest but perhaps unsung names in the history of genre cinema is Veronica Cartwright, a legend of sci-fi and horror going back to The Twilight Zone and The Birds (1963). She really gained attention in the late ’70s after the one-two punch of Philip Kaufman’s Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) and Ridley Scott’s Alien (1979), where she played Lambert.
