In December, news broke that Chris Evans was set to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2026’s Avengers: Doomsday. It certainly made a lot of sense as Avengers: Doomsday is being billed as the big, new Marvel epic that will rival the scope of Infinity War and Endgame, and the return of Chris Evans as Captain America, or any variant thereof, would be a big deal.
