Scream fans were left a little confused last week when it was announced that Joel McHale would be joining the franchise to portray Sidney Prescott’s husband in the upcoming sequel, and not Patrick Dempsey, who played the character of Detective Mark Kincaid in Scream 3. The question of whether McHale was playing the same person came up a lot, but as it turns out, he’s playing a different Mark.
