Colman Domingo‘s critically acclaimed Sing Sing will make history as the first movie to be released in correctional facilities at the same time as it is playing in theaters. Based on the real-life Rehabilitation Through the Arts (RTA) program, Sing Sing centers on a group of incarcerated men involved in the creation of theatrical stage shows at the Sing Sing Maximum Security Prison. The movie stars Domingo and Paul Ricci, and most of the supporting cast is rounded out by many real-life formerly incarcerated men who were themselves alumni of the RTA, with Clarence “Divine Eye” Maclin and Jon-Adrian “JJ” Velazquez earning critical raves for their performances.
’Sing Sing’ will be available to screen in over 1000 correctional facilities in 46 states while it returns to theaters for one final Oscar push. Read More
