After failing to meet box office expectations, Max and Sam Eggers’ directorial debut, The Front Room, has become a streaming success. When the psychological horror thriller landed in theaters in September, it was projected to gross $5 million but fell a bit flat, bringing in barely its supposed budget, $3.2 million; it also became A24’s lowest-rated movie of 2024 on Rotten Tomatoes.
