The upcoming live-action Masters of the Universe film hit the headlines recently for its casting of Jared Leto as the villainous Skeletor. Hot on the heels of this, and several other casting announcements, insider Daniel Richtman has suggested that there is a plot being thrown around for the movie that could make Leto’s casting pale in comparison. If there is one thing that is sure to fire up a fan base in the wrong way, then changing an origin story is the way to go. If Richtman’s sources are correct on this occasion, then the new Masters of the Universe could be about to completely flip the 1987 Dolph Lundgren movie on its head by making He-Man just a regular guy from Earth.
