Guillermo del Toro Announces Remastered Black and White Extended Cut of ‘Nightmare Alley’

Guillermo del Toro’s 2021 neo-noir psychological thriller Nightmare Alley is getting a big refresh soon. The film, originally released in color, had a black and white release in 2022, but now del Toro has announced another update for that version of the story. Based on the 1946 novel of the same name by author William Lindsay Gresham, Nightmare Alley is a stylized noir film about a con man played by star actor Bradley Cooper. In a recent short but sweet post on Bluesky, the co-writer and director announced that he is working on remastering the black and white version of Nightmare Alley with an added extended cut.
