Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story premiered at the Sundance Film Festival at the start of 2024 and gained incredibly positive reviews, including from new DC Studios co-president James Gunn, who convinced Warner Bros. Discovery to acquire the movie and release it under the DC Studios banner. The documentary explores the life of Christopher Reeve following his accident in 1995 that left him paralyzed from the next down and explores not only his time as Superman but also the life he lived after the accident and how he looked to help others like him, as well as digging into his relationship with his children and his late wife, Dana Reeve.
