It was more of a good-natured battle than usual for the top spot at the box office this past weekend. Most of the attention was on Blake Lively’s It Ends With Us taking on what ended up being three-time champion Deadpool & Wolverine, starring her spouse, Ryan Reynolds. It wouldn’t even be fair to call Lionsgate Films’ Borderlands an afterthought; over the course of its three-day debut, it only netted $8.8 million.
