Viggo Mortensen has broken his silence on potentially returning to the Lord of the Rings franchise as Aragorn in the upcoming The Hunt for Gollum movie. Announced earlier in the month, the new addition to the Tolkien saga is a story that fits into the early part of Peter Jacksons trilogy and will be directed by Andy Serkis. Mortensen originally appeared in The Fellowship of the Ring in 2001, and made his last appearance in 2023s The Return of the King.
