Jeff Bridges will lead a star-studded live-action adaptation of John Gardner’s Grendel, which retells part of Beowulf from the monster’s perspective. Alongside Bridges, Dave Bautista will appear as Beowulf, Bryan Cranston as King Hrothgar, Sam Elliott as The Dragon, Thomasin McKenzie as Queen Wealhtheow, and Aidan Turner as Unferth (per The Hollywood Reporter). Composer, producer, and songwriter T Bone Burnett will provide original music for the film and appear in the movie as The Shaper. Robert D.
