John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum ended on a cliffhanger that fans have long awaited resolving. John Wick 4, stylized as JW4, was announced in 2020 as a part of Chad Stahleski’s two-part continuation to Parabellum. At the time, the film was given a July 2021 release date and was supposed to be filmed back to back with a fifth installment. After the pandemic and consequent delays in production due to shutdowns, the makers revitalized the idea and opted for creating the story as one single act.
