The Sundance Film Festival‘s days in Park City, Utah, are numbered. In fact, Robert Redford‘s iconic celebration of independent cinema will spend only one more season in the snowy, ski-lover’s oasis in 2026, before heading to the decidedly easier-to-reach (and bigger city) of Boulder, Colorado. It’s a shocking move given the festival’s origins in the state, but one that’s been in the works since way back in 2023, when the festival decided it needed to shake things up following the pandemic and the industry’s dramatic shifts over the past few years.
