’28 Years Later: The Bone Temple’ Sequel Gets a Release Date

The long-awaited 28 Years Later isn’t being released for seven months, but it already has a sequel set for January 16, 2026, on Martin Luther King weekend. Titled 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, the sequel is still shrouded in mystery, but it is confirmed that Danny Boyle will not be directing. Instead, Nia DaCosta will be directing Alex Garland’s screenplay. The producers are Danny Boyle, Alex Garland, Andrew Macdonald, Peter Rice, and Bernard Bellew. Cillian Murphy is executive producing (and may appear as a zombie, who knows?). The Bone Temple was apparently filmed back-to-back with 28 Years Later, so it is somewhat interesting that it’s being released seven months apart.
