To the surprise of no one, Ridley Scotts Gladiator II features a lot of historical inaccuracies, at least thats according to noted scholars who happen to be in the know about such things. Thats not stopping the film from getting rave reviews ahead of its wide release on Nov. 22, though, as early previews had critics praising the performances of Paul Mescal and Denzel Washington, being blown away by the elaborate set pieces, and commenting on how much they loved the battle sequences.
